Sukkerhuset is a studentpub run by students. About 70 volunteers put their heart and soul in creating a nice place to gather and have fun, whether it's a quiet afternoon or an amazing concert. We strive to offer a variety of events - quiz, karaoke, blærespreng and concerts are a few examples.
Sukkerhuset is one of Norway’s oldest preserved factory buildings, completed in 1754. The building was used as a sugar refinery from the middle of the 1800s. The property was bought by Erich Christian Dahl in 1851, who established the beer brewery E. C. Dahls bryggeri in 1856. The brewery moved in 1984. Since 1927 the building has been under the protection of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage, and is today owned by E. C. Dahls Eiendom. The building is currently managed by NTNU, and is currently being used as an examination room as well as the studentpub Sukkerhuset Kjeller.
